Funny. It’s just hard to comprehend what all has happened since he took office. He’s had to deal with every kind of catastrophe that exists. Wars, the economy, the inability to get any control over corporations owning all of us, terrorist attacks, all kinds of weather causing devastation, all the people who hate him. Pirates. He has turned our economy around and tried to address the environment and human rights.

c.c. the comment about people being bigots, right-wing, greedy, etc. Well, approximately 20 years ago these same people were similarly angry and vocal towards then President Bill Clinton. He got his two terms nonetheless, same as G.W. and Obama. It’s really nothing new in the U.S.’s history. I see each President we have for their strengths while also being aware of their flaws and bad points. The only thing that I think is new in out political spectrum is the insight we have on all the events happening, even though that insight tends to always be bent and molded into what the media powers that be want us to see. Our leadership is more transparent than it ever has been in our history. Those are my thoughts upon reading this thread, if they even make any sense.

I usually don’t comment on things like this but I have to say my peace. Obama is doing the best he can with what he can. What people fail to realize (and they must have been asleep or absent the day this was taught in us government class in high school) is the president is the commander and chief yes this is true; however, the house and the senate really run the show! If they don’t vote it into being law, it does. The president proposes and they vote… Those that didn’t want him in office and they have a seat on either will vote against him every time. This is why the mid elections are very important! His hands are tied with many things because if this. So people can’t blame him got the issues this country has or hold him responsible when the issues he said he will fix hasn’t been resolved yet. He’s met with resistance every time!

let’s see – he got the country to recognize that health care is a right not a priviledge. He got rid of don’t ask don’t tell – a thinly veiled idea of homosexuality is “wrong”, he brought up the minimum wage, added more women and people of color into government….he stopped the war (albeit it’s easy to attack that claim), he understood the call to action for the poor during this ridiculous ever lasting recession/micro depression. Shifted education to sciences and computers. And put on some really great concerts on tv. I’d say he’s done a pretty good job.
And the crap he’s had to deal with? Unbelievable.

It’s nice to find a web site where Obama bashing isn’t the overriding theme.
I don’t think America is moving forward. I think it’s stuck in the mud, and if we don’t start working together and focus on climate change and the garbage dump we call the ocean, it’s going to be glacial mud. Everyone points to POTUS when things go wrong, but in fact it’s a web of incompetency beginning with local politicians. It matters very much who goes to Congress. If we want real change, we have to start from the grassroots up.
I say we set a new precedence, and re-elect Billy boy Clinton… He may have been getting blow jobs under the desk, but at least he got shit done while he was!!!

Yes in years past presidents have bowed to Asian dignitaries out of respect. Bowing is how they shake hands in Asian countries. Would any president of the US be so rude as not to return a bow or shake the hand of a foreign leader he was meeting. You are a fool if you have never seen it look here :http://tinyurl.com/ok4b3zc You will see Eisenhower, Nixon, Bush GHW and GW bowing, kissing and holding hands with foreign dignitaries. Your problem David is you close your eyes and your mind and let other people tell you what is going on in the world. It is a disaster for your party because you are constantly being refuted for the lies they tell, and a disaster for your country, because people like you elect the morons who think that you can run a country as big as this without a government, without running deficits and without paying our bills.

They lied to this country and lied to the world. They caused the largest financial crisis to unfold and we are now 10 years later still suffering as a country. Folks the difference between USA and rest of the world is supposed to be diversity, freedom expressed in any form, oppertunities, education of high standard, tolerance and American dream. What is happening now is,since a black President has been elected this country has been dipping towards third world mentality perhaps showing its true color.I come from one such country and has always believed USA to be the best country inspite of some shortfalls but now those views are taking its toll.I wish the mass would try to understand what the founding fathers saw and perceived when they drafted the Connstitution which Unfortunatly is being interpreted like holy books to selfish satisfaction. This country needs to steer towards the morally correct path.

This explains how a 2 yr senator with no experience got re-elected lol
bringing up the war that virtually EVERY world power was in favor of, an economy that has rebounded no thanks to POTUS (check your fiscal history statistics people), being in the deepest debt in the history of the country… that means EVER, more people on welfare than in the past 4 decades (that’s 40 yrs), an endless list of unfulfilled promises (except for Obama-care which is a medical, patient, & political nightmare), and being the laughing stock of the world and our enemies both domestic & especially abroad, more gov’t. spying, wire-tapping, and illegal investigations of private citizens. Lest we forget the blatant IRS fraud, assasination of a U.S. Ambassador and subsequent dismissal of such. Need I continue? But of course, you’re right. He’s a great man. I cant wait to see history hold him up as the savior of our country.
From an independent point of view… remind me, he’s done what right again? If you’re going to start rehashing, make a an accurate argument or else you come across as yet another Democratic yes-man blindly following a leader like the running of the lemmings.

The best president of the United States we have ever had.
c.c. the comment about people being bigots, right-wing, greedy, etc.
Camp David is in Maryland, not Texas lol
let’s see – he got the country to recognize that health care is a right not a priviledge.
The death of bin Laden, reform of healthcare, narrowing of deficit growth, improving economy, winding down Bush’s wars — not bad for a moderate Prez.opposed at every turn by Teapublicans.
Camp David, the presidential retreat, is in northern Maryland about 60 miles from Washington, D.C.
George W. Bush WAS the worst Presisent ever…now its Obama. Lol. They both suck for very polarizing reasons…Bush was too imposing and basically found a loop hole to do every single thing he decided was right…Obama was a real pussy from the start with his bi-partisian bull shit and pretty much allowed a republucan congress to water down every single bill he swore to pass during his campaigns.
The problem began when the government made the first loan and it hasn’t stopped. We were not born, therefore, follow the paper trail.
It’s nice to find a web site where Obama bashing isn’t the overriding theme.
Great Cartoon
I don’t think America is moving forward. I think it’s stuck in the mud, and if we don’t start working together and focus on climate change and the garbage dump we call the ocean, it’s going to be glacial mud. Everyone points to POTUS when things go wrong, but in fact it’s a web of incompetency beginning with local politicians. It matters very much who goes to Congress. If we want real change, we have to start from the grassroots up.
I say we set a new precedence, and re-elect Billy boy Clinton… He may have been getting blow jobs under the desk, but at least he got shit done while he was!!!
Seriously, America still believes it matters who is in the White House acting President. Interesting. The Propaganda machine works. The United Corporate States of America at its best! Wake up!
Has any other President bowed to a leader of another country? No!!! The world has no respect or fear the U.S.A. since odumbo took office. He’s a joke of a leader.
Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld and Rice all took this country into an unnecessary war for their own profit (Haliburton Mr. Cheney?) how many innocent men and women troops lost their limbs, their minds, and their lives not to mention the innocent Iraqi’s killed. They have blood on their hands and one day karma will kick in. They lied to this country and lied to the world. They caused the largest financial crisis to unfold and we are now 10 years later still suffering as a country. Their pile of crap was left for the current administration to clean up. Shame on them and shame on the continued racist GOPer’s.
The Dow Jones was at 9034 when G.W. left office. It is presently over 16000. Why would any business person hate that?
Guess everyone has also forgotten that the Bush family has alot of companies that are oil related. Fuel costs are outrageous for you and me, but I’m willing to bet that the Bush family made millions with the high fuel prices. Obama’s dealing with the mess Bush made. Although things may not be completely better, he’s attempting to make change. Something is better than nothing. I don’t see him or his family profitting of the American people.
I can say for sure who I’d rather have an intelligent conversation with, or have in my home for dinner. I guarantee its not Bush! God help us if we get a republican in the White House again. I’d vote for Obama and his administration again if I could. Old American culture is fadeing as the older racist bigots are slowly dying out, their ideas with em.
Just my opinion 🙂
I highly encourage you all to vote AGAINST all incumbents. I think the approval ratings in congress warrant some firings…I know that most of us would be fired if we did such a crappy job in our careers. A bunch of newbie couldn’t do much worse. Join the coalition against incumbancy today!
Remember when W. was blamed for the hurricanes? You people are all absurd. W. was just as bad a president and Obama and Obama is just as bad a president as W. They both started wars, spent obscene amounts of money on vacations, etc. It’s disgusting to see people stand behind either one of these traitors.
Every president Since George Washington has been slammed in some manner. This is just Obama’s share. Nothing new, hardly. It does certainly seem that the ferocity of the attacks have been escalating since Nixon. Guess that’s when we started to lose faith in our leaders. That and the propensity for modern media to add more drama and bias
Where is Camp David again?
I like the comments of all you young folks. You are not racist and dumb like us old white men. But your comments are worthless unless you back it with a vote.
